Talk about a babe who inspires baby fever! Between Benson’s big blue eyes, gorgeous lashes, and sweet, go-with-the-flow personality, I loved getting to meet and hang out with this little man. And, now, I’m so excited to share the Marshino family’s photos and Benson’s six-month photos at McAllister Park in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Tyler & Cassie deserve an award for becoming first-time parents during a pandemic!
I get excited for all family shoots and other photo sessions, but I was particularly excited about the Marshino family’s photos because Tyler, Cassie, and I go way back, and it was so great to finally meet their little boy!
You see, Tyler’s grandma and my grandma are first cousins. Our relation is a little far out, but growing up, my brothers and I thought it was so cool that we were related to Tyler and the rest of his family. In fact, Tyler’s mom—Erica—watched us after school throughout grade school.
I knew Tyler well growing up, and Cassie was in Tyler and my brother’s class. Tyler and Cassie started dating their sophomore year of high school, got married in 2019, and now, they’re parents!
It was so great to see Tyler and Cassie and to finally meet baby Benson, whose name I just adore by the way!
While it was great to see the Marshino fam, I have no doubt that the last year has been a trying one. For Tyler and Cassie, having Benson in 2020 meant their family couldn’t visit Benson in the hospital and many months of laying as low as possible both during pregnancy and after having a newborn.
But, even just spending an hour with Tyler, Cassie, and Benson, it’s clear that Tyler and Cassie conquer family life as a team, and Benson is so blessed to have the loving, hardworking parents that he does.
Tyler and Cassie, the world is certainly a better place with your sweet boy in it, and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things he does!
Tyler & Cassie decided to take Benson’s six-month photos at McAllister Park in Lafayette, Indiana.
I was ecstatic when Cassie messaged me and asked if I would take Benson’s six-month photos. I mean, I’d seen photos of their sweet boy online, and I couldn’t wait to meet him!
Because Benson is a morning guy, Tyler and Cassie decided that a sunrise session would be best for their family. (The key to great photos is great light, and because sunrise and sunset offer the best light, I schedule all sessions at sunrise or sunset.) So, the Marshino family got up early and made the trip south to take their family photos and Benson’s six-month photos at McAllister Park in Lafayette, Indiana.
And, I’m so glad they did! Benson wasn’t so sure about me at first, and he was VERY interested in his shoes because this was the first time he’d ever worn shoes, but he’s such a sweet, happy baby, and I’m so glad that I finally got to meet him!

Tyler and Cassie, I know you’ve been parents for six full months now and that this is certainly belated, but congratulations on becoming a family of three! (Just about everything has been delayed for the last year, right?!)
It was great to see you guys, and I cannot thank you enough for trusting me to take your family photos. I can’t wait to share your full gallery with you, but in the meantime, I hope you love these previews from Benson’s six-month photos at McAllister Park in Lafayette, Indiana!
