I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
Lucas and Ethan might’ve thought it was strange to be dressed up at their favorite fishing spot, but the Peters family looked great! And, I’m so excited to share previews from their spring family photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
As a child of three myself, I think it’s a lot of fun to photograph families with three kids, because I think there’s something about this family dynamic that gives each child a very defined personality. And, the Peters family is further proof of that to me!
During their family photoshoot, it quickly became clear that Lucas—who is the oldest—is the helper of the family. He’s on top of things and ready to listen to instruction. (I’m the oldest in my family, so I feel like Lucas and I can relate!)
During his solo photos (I always grab individual photos of the kids.), Lucas did the sweetest thing. He asked if he could take a few photos with just his mom! Jenny melted, and Lucas may’ve earned some brownie points!
While Lucas is more reserved, Ethan is the exact opposite. Ethan has the heart of a performer and kept the jokes coming! By the end of the Peters’ shoot, my cheeks definitely hurt from this guy making me laugh!
Then, there’s sweet Anabel. She’s the baby of the family and the only girl, and while her family certainly looks out for her, she’s by no means the typical, spoiled baby. In fact, this darling girl was ELATED when her mama told her that she could KEEP her dress—which she wasn’t allowed to wear until their photos. Her heart is precious, and the big smiles you see in this shoot are largely a result of Annabel being reminded that her dress was all hers!
Nick and Jenny, you’re raising kind, confident, thoughtful, and intelligent kids, and you should be so proud!
This has nothing to do with their session, but because Zach and I pretty much owe Mrs. Peters, I can’t help throwing this little tidbit in here.
During our junior year of high school, Zach transferred to my school. We quickly became friends because Jenny made Zach and I lab partners.
I remember this project where we had to use a punnett square to determine what hypothetical alien kids would look like. 17-year-old Zach decided that I would be the dad, and he would be the mom. During Biology II, I had zero idea that Zach and I would ever date, let alone someday get married. But, Mrs. Peters class is where we became friends.
So, Mrs. Peters, thank you for making the “new kid” my lab partner 10 years ago!
Peters family, if how much I laughed during your photos didn’t make it clear how much I enjoyed your family session, I’m telling you now. You guys were so much fun to hang out with!
There’s clearly a lot of love in your family of five, and I hope that whenever you look at these photos, you’re reminded of the love and fun your family experienced when the kids were 11, 8, and 5.
While I can’t wait to share your full gallery with you, I hope you love these previews from your spring family photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana!
Nick and Jenny have been married for 16 years! When they got married, engagement photos weren’t a thing quite yet, so they joked that these would be their 16-year-overdue-engagement pics. Parents rarely take photos of just the two of them, so I’m glad we were able to sneak a few of just Nick and Jenny in while the kids played.
I think it’s safe to say that Lucas and Ethan adore their baby sis. Don’t you?!
Gosh. There’s so much love in this family. It makes me melt!
