If you had braces, you know finally getting your braces off is a BIG deal. I remember feeling free and confident (and wanting to eat about a pound of peach rings) when mine came off. Saying goodbye to braces is a big deal, a milestone, and a great reason to schedule a photo session!

Lovely Maya is Zach’s (my husband’s) first cousin. When Nan (Zach and Maya’s grandma) found out Maya was saying goodbye to braces, Nan texted me to ask about a session to celebrate. I thought it was an ingenious idea, and I’m so glad we did this!

Sam adds to the fun at Wea Creek Orchard!

Wea Creek Orchard is one of my favorite places to shoot in Lafayette, Indiana. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable, and because of this, I schedule sessions at the orchard as often as I can.

In addition to being hospitable and beautiful, Wea Creek Orchard has several friendly dogs, including Sam. Sam fell in love with Maya, and sweetly followed us around for most of the shoot. And because Sam is so cute, we had to include him in a few photos!

P.S. Sam is great, but so are Wea Creek Orchard’s apples and peaches. Be sure to pick some and visit Sam this fall!

Spring is a beautiful time of year for photos in Lafayette, Indiana.

Spring is my favorite time of year and favorite season to shoot. Because Miss Maya is so darling, I wanted to find blooming trees that are just as darling as she is. Luckily, Wea Creek’s peach and pear trees were in bloom, so we were able to capture photos with both white and pink blooms!

Maya couldn’t be anymore beautiful.

I met Maya when she was a cute 10 year old, and I can’t believe how beautiful she’s become. From her gorgeous hair to beautiful hazel-green eyes, it’s hard to believe this lovely lady is only 15 and that these aren’t her senior photos. Maya was just as lovely with braces, but I know she’s happy to have them off.

Thank you for allowing me to capture this special time in your life, Maya! Love you, beautiful girl!
