Guys, I’m so excited to share this engagement session because I’ve fallen head over heels for Yvonne and Jordan. These two radiate joy when they’re together, and as a result, they were INCREDIBLY easy to photograph. Like, seriously, they hardly needed any instruction. They’re just naturally this adorable!
We took Yvonne and Jordan’s engagement photos at Purdue University because that’s where they met and will tie the knot later this summer. I can’t wait for their Ross-Ade Stadium wedding!
Jordan & Yvonne were raised in different cultures.
When Yvonne mentioned that she and Jordan met at Purdue, I assumed that they had the classic college love story. You know, the story where they were both students, laid eyes on each other in class, went to a football game, and have been inseparable ever since. But, that’s not 100% the case.
Yvonne came to West Lafayette, Indiana from Shanghai, China to study environmental engineering. She had no idea that the love of her life would be a Lafayette, Indiana native or that she would meet him in a Purdue University dining court, which is where Jordan works.
I think one of the coolest things about Yvonne and Jordan’s love story is their cultural differences. While Yvonne is from China, Jordan was raised and still lives in the Lafayette area. As a result, this couple comes from completely different backgrounds.
They embrace this, and I love how they talk about this on their wedding website, “Raised from two different cultures, we’ve had our difficulties and setbacks: language, distance, views, etc., but honesty and love carried us through everything and lead us where we are today.”

In August, Yvonne’s family will travel to the US, and Yvonne and Jordan will tie the knot in front of their friends and family in the United States. In March, Yvonne and Jordan will get married AGAIN in China.
I’m really looking forward to asking Yvonne and Jordan about the differences between their two weddings!
