If you’re lucky, you have a few friends who are like family. Zach (my husband) and Chris have been friends since they were in school. Their friendship lasted through college; Chris was the best man in our wedding; and now—six years later—we all live in Lafayette, Indiana.
Chris is the closest thing Zach has ever had to a brother, so as you can imagine, I’m especially excited to photograph Chris & Ashley’s big day this fall and to share their engagement photos in Lafayette, Indiana!
If you don’t know them, you’d assume Chris & Ashley were just best friends.
I’ve known Chris & Ashley for six years now, and during this time, we’ve spent countless weekends, nights, and a trip to Florida together. And, as Chris & Ashley’s friend, I have to tell you something: Unless they tell you that they’re together, you probably wouldn’t ever know!
I mean this in the best way. A lot of couples say that they’re best friends, but Chris & Ashley truly are. Much of their time is spent poking fun at the other, making decisions with the other person in mind, dancing to every song and knowing every word, and simply enjoying their time together—whether it’s on the lake or watching TV at home (softball if Ashley has the remote).
Chris & Ashley love doing life together, and I can’t wait to see what their future holds when they finally become husband and wife.
Can we talk about their outfits for a second?
I can’t get over how great Chris & Ashley looked for their engagement photos in Lafayette, Indiana. (We went downtown and to the Celery Bog in West Lafayette.) Ashley picked her outfits out a few weeks before their session, and she and Chris went to the mall the night before the session to get clothes for Chris.
Ashley texted me photos of options (which I let all of my clients do), and she paired items together really well! I mean, just look at that bow tie and Ashley’s romper/dress. They looked stunning!
Chris & Ashley will tie the knot on November 3, 2018.
Chris & Ashley have been together for eight years (I’m pretty sure that’s right) and will finally tie the knot this fall! And, as much fun as Chris & Ashley are, I can guarantee you that this will be an incredible wedding!
I’m also super blessed to say that this will be my second Peterson wedding of the year. That’s right. Nick (Chris’s brother) and Andrea got married in May, and I had the honor of being their wedding photographer as well. So, here’s to double Peterson weddings!
