A barn venue, boutonnieres made from bullets, blue jeans, a bride in boots, an outdoor ceremony, and food straight off the grill. A wedding doesn’t get anymore country than this!
Jordan and Hanna Guimond had a dream country wedding in Lafayette, Indiana, and I’m so excited to share some of their wedding photos on the blog!
While eating dinner at the reception, a guest whom Michaela (my second shooter) and I sat with said, “This looks like one of those weddings you see on Pinterest. It’s so country and perfect.”
She was right!
From every detail to being at a venue surrounded by cornfields, Jordan and Hanna had the ideal country wedding at The Barn in Lafayette, Indiana. Their big day fit their personalities so well, and I have no doubt that it met all of their expectations. Their only regret is likely not having time to fish in the pond (Hanna’s brother totally did while waiting for family photos to start though.)!
I think this little fact is a lot of fun! Over the course of their relationship, Jordan has surprised Hanna with countless bouquets (He’s a keeper!). So, Jordan and Hanna decided that he should once again surprise her with flowers on their wedding day.
Hanna made the bridesmaids’ bouquets, but Jordan worked with McKinney’s Flowers to design the perfect arrangement for Hanna. He picked up the bridal bouquet with lilies and pops of purple on the morning of their wedding and presented it to Hanna during their first look.
It was the sweetest thing and so fun to see both the bride and groom get to be surprised (Jordan by Hanna’s dress and Hanna by the bouquet)!
While the bouquet presentation was fun, I think the most special part of Jordan and Hanna’s big day (other than them getting married of course) was seeing their friends and family support and love on the bride and groom.
Jordan and Hanna are some of the kindest people who exist. They don’t hesitate to go out of their way to help and serve others. So, at their wedding, it was incredible to see their friends and family serving them and allowing them to soak up every moment of their celebration.
I mean, their parents decorated and did so much more. Several people pitched in to grill hot dogs and hamburgers and to prepare all of the food, which was amazing. A friend from college served as their bartender. A family friend was both Hanna’s seamstress and hairstylist. Another friend made their cake. The bridal party helped with setup and made sure that the bride and groom were hydrated. The bridal party’s significant others ran errands, cut cake, and helped in every way they could. And, their moms had answers to all questions because their mamas wanted to ease as much stress as possible for the bride and groom.
Over the course of the day, I came to two conclusions:
Long story short, Jordan and Hanna’s day was wonderful because they are wonderful.
Jordan and Hanna, thank you so much for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. It was an honor to capture all of the fun you had at your outdoor, country wedding. I hope you loved every second of your big day, but more importantly, I hope you love being married.
You are both amazing people, and I can’t wait to see how God uses your marriage!
