The best fall outfits, pumpkins, champagne, the most detail-oriented bride, and a groom who likes hugs? It doesn’t get any better than this! Which is why I’m SO excited to share Logan Dexter and Becky Biancardi’s engagement photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!

 

Logan planned an epic Chicago proposal.

Logan and Becky are high school sweethearts who met during their junior year and started dating their senior year. While they went to different colleges, Logan to Purdue in West Lafayette and Becky to Purdue University Northwest, they made the distance work with frequent trips to see each other.

This darling couple can regularly be found watching Marvel and DC movies together, taking trips to Chicago, and eating (They love going out to eat.). They also adore animals, and after the conversation I had with Becky the other day, I’m 99% sure they’re going to join the goldendoodle gang after their wedding! (#theadventuresofhattierayburn)

A little more than four years after making their relationship official, Logan decided it was time to pop the question and that Chicago would be the perfect place to do just that.

Logan and Becky visit Chicago pretty regularly, so Becky wasn’t suspicious about this weekend away in February 2018. They booked a hotel and made dinner reservations at Cité by Navy Pier (which they almost missed and had to run through the Chicago winter to make) and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Then, they went back to their hotel room, which was a corner room with an incredible view of the city on both sides.

Becky assumed they were calling it a night; however, Logan got down on one knee with the city lights shining through the windows and asked Becky to be his wife. She, of course, said yes!

The next day, Logan and Becky’s engagement weekend fun wasn’t over. They visited the Shedd Aquarium and The Cheesecake Factory (Yum!) before heading home.

Pop the champagne because Logan & Becky came prepared for their engagement session!

I love working with detail-oriented couples like Logan and Becky. I mean, Becky and Logan got engaged in February and by the time they met with me in March, they already had their reception venue booked, colors picked, and bridal party chosen. From there, we planned their wedding day timeline nearly a year before their big day. They’s so on top of things!

So, I shouldn’t have been at all surprised when Logan and Becky arrived for their engagement photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana with perfect fall outfits and pumpkins, champagne, and a picnic basket to use as props.

Knowing how detail-oriented Becky is, I can’t wait to see how her and Logan’s big day comes together! (Did I mention that their colors are a mix of pastels?! My favorite! This couple couldn’t be anymore perfect!)

Future Mr. and Mrs. Dexter, I can’t begin to tell you how much I adore the two of you (so glad you both like hugs) and how honored I feel to be your wedding photographer.

It’s been so fun to get to know you during your wedding planning process. My prayer for you is that you’ll always put as much effort—if not more—into your marriage as you have into proposing and wedding planning.
