Since meeting Zach (Zachary as Kourtney calls him) and Kourtney for coffee, I’ve been dying to get them in front of the camera. Now, I’m so excited to share Zach and Kourtney’s spring engagement photos in downtown Indianapolis on the blog!
This darling couple actually met in middle school! They became friends and hung out with a lot of the same people due to sports. During their junior year, they both ran track and started talking and hanging out more.
According to Kourtney, “It’s been perfect ever since!”
When it came time to choose colleges, Zach opted for Purdue, and Kourtney chose IUPUI, where she studied nursing.
Going to different schools and being an hour apart didn’t sway Zach and Kourtney’s relationship though. The two made frequent trips to Lafayette and Indianapolis to see one another for four years.
While they’ve both loved living in and exploring these Indiana cities, they just made the move to Chicago and are thankful that distance is no longer part of their relationship!
Zach certainly deserves props for his proposal!
Every year, Kourtney’s family takes a vacation, and because everyone is together, they schedule family photos.
This year, the Kniesly family went to Mexico and invited Zach to come along. They scheduled photos, and because this is the norm, Kourtney didn’t think much of it.
However, during the session, Zach got down on one knee.
Kourtney’s family got to share in this special moment, and the photographer captured the entire thing on camera! How amazing is that?!
Way to go, Zach!
Zach and Kourtney just moved to Chicago, but considering they’ve spent a lot of time in Indy over the course of their relationship—making this city special to them—they chose to take spring engagement photos in downtown Indianapolis.
Both during our coffee date and during their engagement session, something became very clear to me. Zach and Kourtney are one another’s cheerleaders.
Whether it’s school, a race (Both are runners, and Zach runs races regularly!), planning a wedding, applying for jobs, or carrying Kourtney when her feet hurt during the session, Zach and Kourtney root for one another and help however they can.
Zach and Kourtney, I pray you always work as a team!
Side note: Aren’t their outfits perfect?! Kourtney is very organized and had outfits planned months in advance. She sent me photos of options, and asked for advice. Zach and Kourtney, you guys looked incredible!
Zach and Kourtney will celebrate their wedding at Bel Air Events in Kokomo, Indiana on June 6, 2020.
Between Kourtney’s wonderful organization skills and their lavender, silver, white, gold, and black color palette, I have no doubt that Mr. and Mrs. Ellington’s wedding will be beautiful, organized, and fun!
Congratulations, Zach and Kourtney! Thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer! I hope you love these previews from your engagement session!
