I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
It’s hard to believe, but David and Rachel have been Mr. and Mrs. Redinbo for an entire year!
It seems like just yesterday they were reading their vows to one another in private through tears; that I was running them through the Wendy’s and Starbucks drive-thru during bride and groom photos because they were in desperate need of food and caffeine; and that Dave was “dropping like it’s hot” during fast songs, slow songs, and everything in between during their reception at the Rat Pak Venue in downtown Lafayette. (You can see their gorgeous blush and dusty blue wedding day here!)
Between Dave moving back to Indiana from Alaska, Rachel officially being in remission, getting married, the coronavirus, and now planning another move, the last year and a half or so has been more than a whirlwind for the Redinbos.
But, Dave and Rachel make an amazing team, and I’m so excited to share their one-year anniversary photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana and a few of their thoughts on marriage on the blog!
Dave: “There are so many. Some include moving back to Indiana, Rachel’s completion of chemotherapy and confirmation of remission, living together, getting a new car, and getting another pet together.”
Rachel: “After spending years apart, it’s so wonderful to spend each holiday, special occasion, and milestone together. That being said, one of the more important milestones of our first year of marriage has to be the completion of my cancer treatment. We have a newfound sense of gratitude for life and greater appreciation for each other’s presence.”
Dave: “Getting to be Rachel’s husband.”
Rachel: “Always having a friend to share in life’s experiences.”
Dave: “Sharing my environment with someone.”
Rachel: “Learning the ins and outs of each other’s love languages.”
Dave: “Small gestures go a long way.”
Rachel: “It’s okay to disagree. What’s more important is learning how to respectfully disagree.”
Dave and Rachel, I can’t begin to tell you how honored I am to know you guys or what a privilege it was to be your wedding photographer.
I know the year before your wedding was scary and stressful, but it’s amazing to see the two of you clearly thriving individually and in your marriage on your one-year anniversary.
Happy anniversary! I want to wish you many, many more! And, I hope you love these previews of your anniversary photos at Fairfield Lakes Park
