There are a million reasons that Pumas loved going to Saint Joseph’s College. But, I’d bet just about anything that Bruce Anderson and Becky Wisniewski’s favorite thing about SJC was meeting each other. And, I’m so excited to share the future Mr. and Mrs. Anderson’s engagement photos at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana on the blog!
Bruce and Becky met during freshman orientation at Saint Joe because they were in the same freshman seminar. Bruce was a California boy who came to Indiana to play baseball and had to get used to the snow, and Becky was a Chicago girl who went to SJC because of their phenomenal education program and had to get used to small-town life.
Because Bruce and Becky were in the same freshman seminar and Core I class (which is coincidentally where I met both of them), they spent a big portion of their freshman year together and became friends. However, it quickly became clear that there was something more than friendship between them. Wanting to focus on her classes and making friends, Becky wasn’t looking for a relationship (even though Bruce’s offer made her feel very conflicted). Bruce was crushed when she told him that she didn’t want to be more than friends, and as a result, their friendship dwindled.
They both focused on school and spending time with friends, and Bruce’s baseball schedule certainly kept him busy. However, Bruce and Becky continued to see each other in class and at parties and loved the time that they shared. By winter break of their sophomore year, Becky realized that she’d made a mistake. So, she texted Bruce while they were both home for the holidays and asked for a second chance.
Since returning to SJC after winter break of that year, this darling couple has been inseparable! And, five years later, they’re tying the knot!

You only have to talk to Bruce and Becky for about five second to realize how sweet they are, but when you look at their career choices, it’s evident that these two are truly one in a million.
Bruce is a social worker who works with at-risk teens. He serves as a mentor and helps teens get back on the right track. In the meantime, Becky works at the Harsha Autism Center in Terre Haute, Indiana where she teaches children with autism.
I mean, these two are truly incredible and deserve the best wedding day!
Taking Bruce and Becky’s engagement photos at Saint Joseph’s College was certainly sentimental, but it gets even better! On March 30, 2019, Bruce and Becky will get married in the same church that Becky attended growing up and where her parents got married. How sweet is that?! I’m sure it will be a joy-filled, emotional day for the entire family!
Bruce and Becky, I can’t tell you how honored I am that you chose me as your wedding photographer or how excited I am that your wedding will kick off my 2019 wedding season. I know your big day will be beautiful, but more importantly, I know your marriage will be incredible as long as the two of you continue to keep your faith at the center of your relationship and treat and honor each other like you do now.
So, let’s fast forward to March 30, 2019!
