When did we get old enough to get married? When did we get old enough to have babies? And when in the world did we get old enough to have one-year-old little ones who walk and say, “Hi”?! I can’t believe this sweet, blue-eyed girl is a year old already.
Haedyn’s been my little model since she was in the womb.
Haedyn’s mama, Kylie, is my lifelong best friend. We met in preschool, were best friends through school, served as cheerleading co-captains together, and were inseparable until we chose different colleges.
Now that we’re adults with families of our own, it’s such an honor to capture big milestones in Kylie’s little girl’s life. Since finding out that Haedyn was coming, I’ve photographed Haedyn (sometimes she was in Mom’s belly) eight times! These sessions have included two baby showers, maternity photos, hospital photos the day she was born, newborn photos, six-month photos, one-year photos, and photos of her first birthday party.
I hope Haedyn doesn’t get sick of having her photo take because I don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
Haedyn is the smash cake champion!
We took Haedyn’s one-year photos and cake smash session at Second Level Studios in Lafayette, Indiana. She wasn’t too sure about having her photos taken. After all, she just learned to walk, and why would you want to sit still when you have things to do and explore?
However, once the cake was out, Haedyn was glued. We may not be biologically related, but I think it’s safe to say Haedyn Jane and Aunt Victoria have the same love for chocolate cake. It was only a matter of seconds before she dug in!
Happy birthday, Haedyn! I’ve loved watching and capturing you grow this year, and I can’t wait to see what being a year old brings you. Love you, sweet girl, and your parents too.
