I can’t think of a better way to spend a Wednesday afternoon than shooting branding photos for one of my favorite Indianapolis wedding coordinators.
Based in Indy but happily willing to travel, Andrea Peterson Events offers both wedding and event coordinating services. I cannot recommend Andrea and her team enough, and I’m so excited to share her wedding coordinator branding photos on the blog!
Andrea has been working in the wedding industry since 2011.
It’s hard to believe, but Andrea has been working in the wedding industry for more than a decade. In college, she worked for Gatherings Wedding & Party Rentals—a wedding designer in Rensselaer, Indiana that I highly recommend. (This is actually how Andrea and I met! We both worked for Gatherings in college and have stayed in touch. Andrea is also a VRP bride! I had the honor of photographing her and Nick’s wedding in 2019.)
While I stopped working for Gatherings when I started photographing weddings, Andrea stayed on staff and continued assisting Cheryl (Gatherings’ incredible owner) at night and on the weekends.
Then, in 2020, Andrea officially launched Andrea Peterson Events! Between her extensive wedding industry experience, her background in corporate event planning, and the sense of fun and organization that Andrea brings to every situation, this woman was made to be a wedding and event coordinator, and—like I said before—I can’t recommend her enough!
With a new website in the works, Andrea needed branding photos.
While you can find Andrea’s information on Facebook and Instagram for now, her new website will be launching very soon. While she has lots of photos of her work at weddings, Andrea needed new photos of herself. (Including photos of yourself on your website and social media is so important when you have a personal brand!) This meant that I got to spend an afternoon with Andrea, and I certainly wasn’t sad about that!
Before her shoot, Andrea and I discussed her photo needs and created a loose shot list that would help Andrea’s personality shine and highlight many of the tasks she takes care of before and after wedding days.
We started Andrea’s shoot at Réveille Coffee Bar in downtown Lafayette. Wanting to highlight both what work looks like behind the scenes as a wedding coordinator and Andrea’s love for tea, we set Andrea up at a table with a cup of tea and her laptop.
Needing new headshots and wanting some photos with a paper crane (which is part of Andrea’s brand), we then searched for a neutral wall in downtown Lafayette, Indiana.
From there, we finished Andrea’s shoot at New Journey Farms. This gorgeous Lafayette, Indiana wedding venue is one of Andrea’s favorites (It’s one of my faves too!), and Robin (the owner) graciously let us use the venue for Andrea’s wedding coordinator branding photos.

From timeline creation, vendor communication, and making sure that everything runs smoothly on the day of your wedding or event, Andrea has you covered. (She even jumps in to do unglamorous things when needed, like take out the trash!)
Andrea Peterson Events also offers staffing services, meaning if your venue doesn’t have a team of people to move chairs, clear tables, serve food, etc. or if you’re having a celebration at a private residence, the Andrea Peterson Events team is prepared to step in and fulfill these duties and more.
Long story short, I’ve known Andrea for a long time and have had the pleasure of working with her in multiple capacities. She’s a wonderful human being and an exceptional wedding and event coordinator.
