From their oh-so-sweet smiles to their outfits that matched their surroundings perfectly, I can’t tell you how excited I am to share Kerry and Kelsey’s Celery Bog engagement photos on the blog!
To be honest, Kelsey received the worst sales pitch I’ve ever given! I was cleaning my bathroom floor when my phone rang. Thinking it was my hair salon calling to confirm my appointment, I answered the phone. Then, I heard a voice sweetly say, “Hi. My name is Kelsey, and I have questions about your wedding photography packages.”
I threw the scrub brush down and grabbed my computer to see if her date was available. And, of course, the wifi decided to quit. Five minutes later—this encounter is a true testament to how sweet and patient Kelsey is—I was positive I still had August 10, 2019 open, and I walked Kelsey through all of the wedding photo package details.
I’m so glad my super pathetic phone consult didn’t deter Kelsey, because it only took a phone call and meeting over coffee for me to realize that I ADORE her. And, after their engagement session, I realized that Kerry is equally as wonderful. I’m SO excited for their enchanted forest wedding in August of next year!
Kerry & Kelsey are the definition of opposites attract.
My husband and I couldn’t be anymore different, and after three and a half year of marriage, I’ve realized that our differences are what: 1. Make doing life together interesting and fun. 2. Keep us balanced. God knew I needed Zach!
So, when I see couples who are also opposites, I get really excited! For the rest of Kerry and Kelsey’s lives, I know that they’ll take each other out of their comfort zones, bring each other balance, and have a whole lot of fun.
I mean, while Kelsey is sweet and shy, Kerry is outgoing and seems like he makes friends everywhere he goes. Kelsey loves sweets and to bake, but Kerry isn’t necessarily a big sweets guy (He’s not complaining about having a lady who loves to bake for him though!). And, while Kelsey adores glitter, Kerry can’t stand it.
These high school sweethearts are opposites in a lot of ways, but they share the most important things: 1. Love for each other. 2. Love for their golden retrievers! Side note: I really hope I get to meet their puppies!
These two are naturals in front of the camera.
If you’ve ever done an engagement or couple session with me, you know that I have basic poses and more advanced poses. Typically, I start with the basics and then work up to poses that are a little more difficult. But, not with these two!
The very first pose Kerry and Kelsey did for their Celery Bog engagement photos was a pose I typically save for the last 15 minutes of a session. These two are naturals! I think it’s because they’re so comfortable with each other and because they both radiate joy. Whatever it is, I know their wedding is going to be a breeze to photograph!
I can’t wait for Kerry & Kelsey’s enchanted forest wedding in August 2019!
Kerry and Kelsey’s wedding is going to be incredible for so many reasons:
- This couple is amazing.
- They’re having their ceremony in the woods behind their house. How special is that?!
- Kelsey already has all kinds of decor in mind for their DIY enchanted forest wedding. She’s clearly creative, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.
- Rumor has it that Kelsey’s cakes are incredible, and she’s pretty certain she’s going to make their wedding cake. I can’t wait to photograph or taste her masterpiece!
Long story short, their wedding will be great, and August 2019 can’t get here fast enough!
