After having a wonderful time taking and editing Bryan and Cassea’s engagement photos last fall, I spent months counting down the days until their big day. And, I have to say that Mr. and Mrs. Coley’s wedding didn’t disappoint!
Bryan and Cassea had a Wolcott House wedding in Wolcott, Indiana.
If you’ve ever driven through Wolcott, Indiana, you’ve definitely noticed the Wolcott House—a large, white, historic home. While people can tour the house of Wolcott’s founding family, the Wolcott House also makes an amazing wedding venue. With plenty of space for the bride, groom, and bridal party to prepare inside and an amazing front porch for ceremonies, you won’t find a more perfect outdoor venue in White County.
When we arrived to the Wolcott House, there was already so much happening. Cassea and Bryan’s family were busy at work setting up for the ceremony, and Cassea, her mom, Bryan’s mom, and the bridesmaids were having hair and makeup done inside.
The bride and groom were relaxed but also excited and a little anxious. Cassea, a very organized bride, gave us plenty of time for detail shots and photos of the bride and bridesmaids before walking down the aisle.
After Cassea was ready and had very sweet first looks with her dad and bridesmaids, Cassea’s dad walked her down the aisle and gave her to Bryan, the man Cassea has loved for eight years before making him her husband.
James, Cassea’s brother-in-law, officiated, making the vows and ceremony especially personal. The ceremony concluded with a beautiful butterfly release and the perfect kiss to seal the deal.
Mr. and Mrs. Coley danced the night away at the Jasper County Fairgrounds.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom headed to the Jasper County Fairgrounds to celebrate with their friends and family. Before making their grand entrance, we grabbed a few bridal party photos and photos of the new Mr. and Mrs.
From the great music to the incredible food, the reception was wonderful, and the photos from the dance floor prove that guests would agree.
Cassea and Bryan’s family played a huge role in making this the perfect day.
When I ask most brides who helped them prepare for their wedding day, most say their mom or wedding coordinator. Cassea’s mom played a huge role in the planning process (Angie is the sweetest and a stunning MOB), but Bryan and Cassea are blessed with countless sweet, talented family members who were willing to pitch in.
For example:
- Cassea’s mom and her Aunt Connie were the go-to people throughout the day. They kept everyone on schedule and had answers to all questions.
- Cassea’s sister Whitney did the bride’s makeup.
- Cassea’s sister Mackenzie of Moments by MB took Cassea’s bridal shower photos.
- Cassea’s sister Ciera made the wedding cake, cupcakes, and other desserts (I’ve seriously never had a more delicious cupcake at a wedding).
- Cassea’s sister Chelsea gave a beautiful speech as matron of honor and is mama to the sweetest little flower girl.
- Cassea’s brother-in-law James became a licensed wedding officiant specifically for this big day.
- Cassea’s stepmom, Renee, made a beautiful sign for the “tie the knot” tradition for the ceremony.
- Cassea and Bryan’s dads and brothers set up and tore down hay bales, archways, and other decor for Mr. and Mrs. Coley’s outdoor ceremony with speed and organization you wouldn’t believe.
- Bryan’s mom, Terra, kept the flower girls and other little ones entertained and happy all through the wedding day (The Coley family has some seriously adorable little girls).
- Cassea’s dad fixed her train during the ceremony (Talk about a precious moment).
- Cassea’s cousin is a musician at Disney and sang and played piano during the reception and dinner.
- Cassea’s cousins, aunts, and uncles catered the meal.
I’m sure I’m missing someone in there, but this day would not have been everything it was without the help of Bryan and Cassea’s families. The Coley, Anker, and Blanchette families are loving, giving, kind, and fun, and Bryan and Cassea couldn’t be more blessed.

While I’m 5’ 1”, Austen is about 6’. I may or may not have made her reach for things throughout the day . . . She was a great sport, and I couldn’t have asked for a better second shooter.

Cassea and Bryan, I hope you loved every second of your big day because I know I did. Thank you for letting Austen and me capture one of the happiest days of your life. Cassea, you were stunning. Bryan, you were one handsome groom.
As your family grows, my prayer for you is that you will keep Christ at the center of your marriage, that you’ll remember marriage is a gift, and that you’ll always be best friends. If times ever get tough, I hope you’ll look at your wedding photos because in every photo, it’s clear how excited the two of you were to officially become man and wife. I hope and pray that you’ll always remember that feeling.
