Boy oh boy did Jake and Cassie have a fun country wedding! From a barn venue to Cassie’s calf-length wedding dress that was perfect for twirling, this wedding day couldn’t have been anymore perfect for Mr. and Mrs. Terry. And, I’m so excited to share their wedding at Legacy Barn in Kokomo, Indiana on the blog!
Jake & Cassie just wanted to have fun at their country wedding!
When I spoke to Cassie about a year and a half ago for a phone consultation, I asked her, “What’s going to be most important to you on your wedding day?” She told me, “We just want to be married and for people to have a good time.” I think it’s safe to say that this is exactly what happened!
I’m a big believer in positive and negative energy, and I have to tell you that we walked into a barn full of nothing but joy! When we arrived, Cassie, her bridesmaids, and her mama (I just fell in love with April, the MOB, by the way) were laughing, relaxed, and clearly loving life. When Candace (my second shooter) and I wandered over to the “Bullpen,” what Legacy Barn calls their groomsmen’s suite, it was clear that the guys were enjoying themselves just as much.
Cassie radiates joy, and Jake is so go with the flow. Long story short, this couple couldn’t be any sweeter, and it shouldn’t have been a surprise to me that their friends and family are just as wonderful.
Loss was felt on their special day.
While their wedding day included an immense amount of joy, the day also included a little sadness. Within a few weeks of their wedding, Jake lost his father, and Cassie lost her grandfather.
These losses were certainly felt by the family, but knowing that both Jake’s dad and Cassie’s grandpa would want them to enjoy their wedding day, their family still celebrated and wore smiles.
Jake’s brother and best man, Josh, gave the most heartwarming speech that gave honor to both patriarchs who couldn’t be present.

Jake and Cassie, I can’t thank you enough for trusting me to capture your big day. I hope it was everything you dreamt it would be and that your wedding photos help you remember all the fun you had on your first day as husband and wife.
I know you’re both working this week, but I have no doubt that your Disney Cruise this winter will be worth the wait.

Cassie’s mom, April, made all of the flower arrangements. They were stunning!
Cassie’s clutch was made from her mom’s wedding dress. How sweet is that?!
