One of my favorite things about wedding days is spending the day with the bride and her bridesmaids. I mean, for me, a wedding day is a girls’ day with camera in hand. It doesn’t get any better!

And, this is exactly how I met Jessica. I had the privilege of photographing Jessica’s sister and brother-in-law’s (Sarah and Declan McCarron) wedding last October, and Jessica was the maid of honor. She did a wonderful job of helping Sarah throughout the day, and I was so glad to have met both of the Dienes girls.

During the reception, I noticed Jessica on the floor with a handsome guy whom I assumed was her boyfriend. I saw them sneak a kiss, which confirmed suspicions, and I was sure to grab photos of their sweetness. I mean, they were shaking, twisting, twirling, and having a grand ‘ole time!

While taking their photos on the dance floor, I thought to myself, “Wow! They’re so much fun. I would LOVE to photograph their wedding someday!”

Luckily for me, Jessica called when Rex popped the question! I had the privilege of taking their engagement photos at Deep River County Park in Hobart, Indiana and will have the pleasure of being their wedding photographer next May!  

 

Don’t belittle dating apps.

So, I feel like people are super hard on online dating. I met the love of my life when I was 17, so I’ve never used Tinder, Bumble, etc., but I can’t imagine trying to date in 2018, especially after college. So much of life is taken up by work, so if you don’t meet your spouse in the office, where the heck are you going to meet him/her? (Side note: Church would be a good place to start.)

Rex and Jessica are proof that Tinder works! This couple swiped right and got engaged a little more than a year later. They love doing life together and they get to because they decided to put themselves out there on a dating app.

 

I can’t wait to see Rex & Jessica tear up the dance floor as husband and wife!

Rex and Jessica’s engagement photos at Deep River County Park only confirmed that they’re every bit as much fun as I thought they would be. From Jessica’s hilarious sound effects during twirling photos to Rex trying oh so hard to make fish lips, they kept me laughing the entire time!

Rex and Jessica, I have no doubt that your wedding day will be full of joy and fun just like you are. I can’t wait to see you shake it on the dance floor as Mr. and Mrs. Cullen!
