I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
The most organized bride and wedding coordinators? A groom who goes with the flow and is always a gentleman? A super fun bridal party who never complained about being chilly (Well, at least not audibly!)? And, parents of the bride and groom who danced all night long?!
I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding to wrap up 2019 with, and I’m so excited to share Ryan and Katie’s wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, Indiana on the blog!
When Katie, Jody (Katie’s mom), and I met for coffee about a year ago to discuss wedding photos, it took about 30 seconds to see how much Ryan and Katie value family.
I mean, Katie told me about how her cousin and Ryan’s sister-in-law set Ryan and Katie up. (You can read that story here!)
Then, she told me how Ryan was sure to have Katie’s brother and sister-in-law (who happens to be Katie’s best friend) present for the proposal and how they celebrated their engagement with the rest of their family right after the question was popped.
And, she told me how she and Ryan were in the process of building a house near Ryan’s family’s farm, which Ryan helps run.
About a month later during Ryan and Katie’s engagement session—which we shot on the Brummet family farm—Ryan and Katie pointed out houses and explained how the homeowners were related to Ryan. Basically, every house that was visible belonged to someone in Ryan’s family, which was amazing for photos, because it essentially meant we had free reign without worrying about trespassing!
And, on their wedding day, Ryan and Katie’s bridal party and most of their guests were made up of family.
Ryan and Katie clearly love and value their families. But, honestly, I think what’s even more endearing about Ryan, Katie, and their parents, siblings, in-laws, cousins, and other relatives is that they aren’t just family; they’re also best friends.
One of Ryan and Katie’s favorite things to do is spend time with their families. And, on their wedding day, Mr. and Mrs. Brummet clearly relished being able to have their families together in one place.
2019 has been a pretty crazy year for Ryan and Katie. Not only did they plan a wedding, but they also built a house!
Ryan and Katie moved into their new home just a few weeks before their big day, and with lots of natural light, Ryan and Katie’s new house was the perfect place to have hair and makeup done and to take getting ready photos!
Katie is as organized as women come, and not wanting to risk any delays, Katie and her girls spent the night in Ryan and Katie’s new home and began hair and makeup at 5:00 am. It was an early morning, but all of the girls looked amazing, and Katie’s goal of staying on time was certainly met!
After taking getting ready photos, Ryan and Katie did their first look inside their new home. You can see photos below! But, I can’t think of anything sweeter than Ryan and Katie chasing their kids and later their grandkids in the same home where they shared their first look on their wedding day. (Anybody else misty eyed thinking about this?!)
When you have nearly 400 guests coming to celebrate your marriage, you need a big church!
Ryan and Katie live in Otterbein, Indiana. But, because their home church wasn’t big enough for their guest list, Ryan and Katie celebrated their wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, Indiana.
After taking bridal party photos on the Brummet family farm, both of Katie’s parents walked her down the aisle, and Ryan and Katie officially became Mr. and Mrs. Brummet!
After taking family and sunset photos, Ryan, Katie, and their guests celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Brummet’s marriage at the Jasper County Fairgrounds in Rensselaer, Indiana.
Katie took my recommendation and asked Cheryl Torbet of Gatherings Wedding & Party Rentals (Cheryl is amazing! She did our wedding, and I can’t recommend her enough.) to decorate the space, and it looked incredible! I don’t want to speak for Katie, but I think it was exactly what she’d envisioned, and I can’t wait for you to see photos below!
Not only was Ryan and Katie’s wedding reception beautiful; it was also super fun!
Once the music started, the dance floor was NEVER empty! Between the incredible music selections from Epicenter Entertainment and Ryan and Katie’s guests’ love for dancing, the reception was an incredible party from beginning to end!
Side note: I’ll never be able to hear Bon Jovi again without thinking of Bill Morgan, Katie’s dad!
Ryan and Katie, I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am for the two of you and your families (They each gained an amazing addition!) or how thankful I am that you trusted me to be your wedding photographer.
I seriously couldn’t imagine a sweeter couple or more fun wedding to wrap up my 2019 wedding season with. I just adore you both and already can’t wait for your anniversary session!
I hope your big day was everything you dreamed it would be and that you’re enjoying officially being husband and wife AND your new home.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Brummet! I hope you love these previews from your wedding at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, Indiana!
Like I said, I think it’s so sweet that Ryan and Katie got to enjoy their first look in their new home!
It’s a tradition in the Brummet family to take a few wedding photos with farm equipment. So, Ryan chose a semi!
Ryan and Katie’s bridal party was SO much fun!
Ryan and Katie’s parents hitting the dance floor hard was one of my favorite things about Ryan and Katie’s wedding. Bill, Jody, Jeanne, and Doug, y’all are just the best!
