Perfect fall weather? A gorgeous dusty blue and champagne color palette? A cathedral veil? Two families that are ecstatic to become one? AND, a super fun bride and groom?!
Wedding days don’t get any better than this, and I’m so excited to share Luke and Grace Stevenson’s Meadow Springs wedding in Francesville, Indiana on the blog!
Now, I have to say that Grace and Luke’s wedding was particularly exciting because their families go way back.
You can read more of Grace and Luke’s story here, but long story short, Grace and Luke’s dads (Michael and Eric) have been friends their whole lives. And, as a result, Grace and Luke have never known life without one another.
Over the years, the Stevensons and Mantels have camped together, spent lots of time on the lake, and have practically been family.
But, on Saturday, September 26, 2020, the Stevensons and Mantels officially became family when Grace and Luke tied the knot!
As a wedding photographer, I can tell you that every family dynamic is different, but Grace and Luke’s wedding was particularly sweet, because their families have loved one another for years and were nothing but thrilled to see Grace and Luke officially become husband and wife.
This was the first wedding I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at Meadow Springs, but I have to tell you that I was so impressed!
Grace and her girls stayed the night at Meadow Springs Manor (the lovely farmhouse on
Meadow Springs’ property) the night before the big day. Then, Grace and Luke were able to have both their ceremony and reception on this gorgeous property.
Grace and Luke are both very go-with-the-flow people and clearly loved both the convenience and beauty of their big day.
Now, I can’t help sharing this, because I think Grace and Luke’s color palette came together so perfectly!
Long story short, Grace thought she wanted to do a dusty blue wedding. Bridesmaid dresses had been purchased and other color-palette-related purchases had been made. But, when Grace went to Meadow Springs to discuss decor with Sandy (Meadow Springs’ owner and wedding designer), Grace decided that she didn’t love the way dusty blue looked on the tables.
Not wanting to start from scratch but also not loving the color palette she’d already chosen, Sandy worked with Grace to create a light-and-airy fall color palette that was just gorgeous! Wait until you see how dusty blue, champagne, and fall florals work together!
Because Grace and Luke are simply fun people to be around, their wedding day was a blast from beginning to end, and I have no doubt that their marriage will be the same!
Grace and Luke, your wedding day was incredible! But, considering how well you know and love one another, I have no doubt that your marriage will be even more amazing.
Thank you so much for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. It was an honor and a joy to hang out with you guys, your families, and your bridal party on your happy day.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson! I hope you love these previews from your Meadow Springs wedding in Francesville, Indiana!
“Are you afraid of heights?” is likely the most bizarre question I’ve ever been asked during a one-month check in! Grace and Sandy had an idea, and I happily complied to get the photo before this one. This is just in case you’re wondering what behind the scenes often looks like!
Mat and Kara are a 2021 VRP bride and groom! I can’t wait to see them tear it up on the dance floor on their big day!
