I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
Over the last year, it’s been so much fun to see more than half of 2019 VRP brides and grooms announce that they’re expecting. (Hooray for quarantine babies!) I’ve been thrilled for all of these couples, but to be honest, Mike and Amanda are one of the expecting couples I’ve been most excited for, because their journey to becoming parents hasn’t been easy.
But, now, Mike and Amanda are just a few weeks aways from welcoming their baby girl into the world, and I’m so excited to share their spring maternity photos in downtown Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
When Mike and Amanda got married, they knew they wanted to start their family right away. In fact, I remember them talking about this at our final meeting before their wedding.
Because they knew they wanted to start their family immediately, while they were engaged, Mike and Amanda began talking with doctors and learned that getting pregnant and staying pregnant was going to be more difficult than they thought. But, Mike and Amanda knew they wanted to be parents, so they did their research, talked to doctors, and made decisions based on doctors’ recommendations.
Between IVF, hormones, and all of the stress that the last year has brought for the world, pregnancy has by no means been easy for this beautiful mama. But, Mike and Amanda’s dream is coming true. They’re going to be parents to a little girl this May!
Like I said before, Mike and Amanda are a 2019 VRP bride and groom, and since meeting them two and a half years ago, I’ve so appreciated their sarcastic natures, how they make every situation a good time, and how fiercely they love others.
Baby Tomarchio (They’re keeping her name a secret until she makes her debut.) is going to be blessed with the best parents, and if she’s as bold (and sarcastic) as her parents are, I have a feeling Mom and Dad will receive a call or two from her kindergarten teacher, because Mike and Amanda will certainly raise a confident little lady who isn’t afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what’s right.
While Mike and Amanda live in the Indy area today, Amanda is originally from Lafayette, and Mike and Amanda got married in Lafayette. So, they graciously decided to pay me a visit and take their spring maternity photos in downtown Lafayette, Indiana. (They picked the best week for photos! There’s a gorgeous magnolia tree downtown, but the blooms don’t last very long. You’ll know exactly which tree I’m talking about when you see it!)
While it had been pretty warm the week leading up to Mike and Amanda’s maternity session, it was NOT warm the day of their session. But, the sun was shining, and these two pressed through. Looking at their photos, you’d have no idea these parents-to-be were so cold!
I loved getting to catch up with Mike and Amanda, and whenever I’m with them, I know I’m going to laugh hard. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, but these two could definitely do a duo comedy routine or a host a hilarious podcast together. With the way they play off one another, it would be a hit for sure!
During our session, however, Mike—who doesn’t like to be cold—did tell Amanda, “You have to deliver the baby, so I have to suffer through photos.”
To which I responded, “Mike, are you comparing hanging out with me to giving birth?”
Mike and Amanda, thank you for being such great sports despite the cold! This is a special season, and someday, Baby T will be so thankful that these photos exist!
Mike and Amanda, you know I adore you guys, and I have no doubt that you’re going to be the best parents. I have no doubt that the children you raise will make the world a better place, and I so admire how you both fought to make your dream of having a family a reality.
Congratulations, Tomarchio family! I cannot wait to meet your little girl, and I hope you love these previews from your spring maternity photos in downtown Lafayette, Indiana!
