As a wedding photographer, I get excited for all VRP couples’ weddings. But, I have to say that I’ve been particularly looking forward to Conner and Cate’s big day.
You see, between their dusty-blue and blush color palette, incredible wedding vendor choices, and the fact that these two have a grand time wherever they go, I knew the Rasche-Davis wedding was going to be equally beautiful and fun. And, it certainly was!
Now, I’m so excited to share Conner and Cate Davis’s Lizton Lodge wedding in Lizton, Indiana on the blog!
Conner & Cate became husband & wife with a beautiful Lizton Lodge Wedding in Lizton, Indiana.
Once a private residence, The Lizton Lodge has been converted into a beautiful 22,000-square-foot wedding venue about 30 minutes northwest of Indianapolis and 45 minutes south of Lafayette, Indiana. Between the gorgeous grounds, lots of natural light, and multiple ceremony and reception location options, Lizton Lodge couldn’t have been more perfect for Conner and Cate’s spring wedding.
Side Note: I was so impressed with Lizton Lodge’s staff. Manager Ken was so helpful to vendors and Conner and Cate all day long. Thank you, Ken!
Wanting to keep their colors light and airy and for their wedding day to be full of florals, Conner and Cate worked with Magical Moments Event Planning and Special Occasion Designs Floral Studio to create an absolutely stunning day. I mean, just wait until you see the photos!
Another Side Note: I cannot recommend Lora and Amanda of Magical Moments Event Planning and their team enough. These ladies keep wedding days on track both before and day-of and serve their couples so well. If you’re looking for a wedding planner, I highly recommend Magical Moments Event Planning!
Conner & Cate’s wedding day was just like they are—a whole lot of fun!
While their wedding day was certainly beautiful, Conner and Cate’s wedding day was also a LOT of fun from beginning to end!
After months of planning, Conner and Cate just wanted to embrace their first day as husband and wife to the fullest. And, that’s exactly what they, their bridal party, and their friends and family did!
I mean, their bridal party was the ultimate hype squad. Conner and Cate took time to soak up all the special moments, like their first look. Conner and Cate’s families orchestrated special moments for the couple, like a dance with Cate’s grandpa. And, Conner, Cate, and their guests hit the dance floor hard and sang at the top of their lungs until it was time to make their exit.
Conner and Cate, your wedding was truly amazing!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Davis!
Conner and Cate, I hope and pray that your marriage looks a lot like your wedding day—full of fun, surrounded by friends and family, and focused on what’s most important.

I love that Cate decided to do PJs instead of robes. The girls loved these, and they’ll get so much use out of them! 
It was a busy day, but Conner and Cate took the time to soak up their first look. 
I’ll never stop being in awe of Special Occasion Designs Floral Studi’s work! Chrissy is an INCREDIBLE florist. She always creates magic! 
Cate’s grandpa wasn’t going to let his walker get in the way of dancing with his granddaughter. While couples danced to a slow song, Cate and her grandfather danced next to his table. It was a sweet, tear-jerking moment for sure. 
As a wedding photographer, I hear a lot of songs belted out on dance floors, but this one was a first! Somebody requested “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” by Toby Keith, because it’s clearly Conner’s jam! 
At one point in the evening, Conner sweetly asked Amanda, “Have you seen my Zach?” These two are clearly besties, and it’s pretty stinkin’ cute! 
While guests headed outside for the grand exit, Conner and Cate enjoyed a last dance, just the two of them.
