I’m pretty sure this is the only wedding I’ve ever packed tissues for, and I needed them!
I’ve known Olivia Emond—now Olivia Hendress—almost her entire life, and about a year and a half ago, photography brought us back together. Olivia has become one of my primary second shooters because she’s great behind the camera, highly detail-oriented, great at interacting with brides and grooms, and—honestly—just fun to hang out with. (2020 and 2021 VRP brides and grooms, at least half of you have met Liv!)
When Olivia asked if I would be her and Caleb’s wedding photographer, “honored” doesn’t even begin to explain how I felt. And, now, I’m so excited to share Caleb and Olivia Hendress’s New Journey Farms wedding in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Nobody deserves a perfect wedding day more than Caleb & Olivia.
Knowing how detail oriented Liv is and the incredible vendors she and Caleb chose, I had pretty high expectations for the Hendress wedding. Yet, somehow, Caleb and Olivia’s wedding more than exceeded my expectations. It was LITERALLY perfect!
I mean, Liv looked gorgeous, every detail was flawless (Big shout out to Wilson Events by Design and Honey & Sage Flower Studio!), their bridal party and families were fully present and ready to celebrate the bride and groom, DJ Joe Sheets kept the dance floor packed, and even the sun was in Caleb and Olivia’s favor. (It got overcast just in time for Caleb and Olivia’s family photos, which allowed us to take family portraits in front of their beautiful arch, and the sun peaked out right before we began their sunset photos!)
Long story short, Caleb and Olivia’s wedding day couldn’t have been any more perfect, and I’m so glad, because this hardworking, loving couple deserved nothing less than a flawless wedding day focused on them. And, I know that their family and friends would agree.
You see, Caleb and Olivia have sacrificed a lot for their family. They welcomed their daughter, Mia, into the world when they were both very young. It wasn’t easy, but these two decided to grow up fast, cling to each other, and create an incredible life for both one another and their daughter.
Since Mia was born, Caleb and Olivia have finished (Caleb) and started (Olivia) college, begun their careers, and purchased a house. On top of that, Olivia second shoots for me and has her own photography and VA business. (Photographer friends, if you’re looking for a VA, Liv is your girl!)
These two are just amazing people, and considering how much they’ve already conquered and accomplished together, there’s no doubt in my mind that Caleb and Olivia’s marriage will be one that stands firm.

Caleb and Olivia, I cannot begin to explain how much of an honor it was to capture your first day as husband and wife. I hope you know that I adore you both and Miss Mia endlessly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer.

People always compliment the bride, but Caleb was very dashing himself!

I cannot get over this ceremony space! Not only is New Journey Farms gorgeous, but Wilson Events by Design and Honey & Sage Flower Studio created the most elegant ceremony space!
Fun fact: Mia’s dress was made from Mindy (Olivia’s mom’s) wedding dress!
A family photos with this many little ones looking at the camera? I’ll call that a win! 
I just love the color palette Liv and Caleb chose. Champagne dresses and black tuxes are such a timeless choice! 
Like I’ve said multiple times now, every detail was FLAWLESS!
Caleb planned to do a dance with Mia. Mia wasn’t feeling the slow song, but she was overjoyed when DJ Joe Sheets changed the song to “Baby Shark”!
The sun came out at the perfect time. Olivia’s photographer heart was so happy!
