Alex and Kara Timmons have had a very exciting few years. But, 2022 may be their most exciting year yet. I mean, not only will they celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary, but they’ll also welcome their baby girl into the world!
Their daughter will be here in a few short weeks, but in the meantime, I’m so excited to share Alex and Kara’s maternity photos at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana on the blog!
It’s been a beautiful, crazy, wonderful few years for Alex & Kara.
I hope 2023 is a very relaxing year for the Timmons family, because the last three have been VERY busy!
You see, in 2020, Alex and Kara got engaged. In 2021, they became husband and wife. And, in 2022, they’re becoming parents! (They also built a house somewhere in there!)
In 2020, I had the pleasure of taking Alex and Kara’s engagement photos at Purdue, which is where they met. I just loved getting to know these two—who are clearly best friends and have a great time wherever they go—and was so honored when Kara reached back out about scheduling maternity photos.
Alex & Kara decided to take their maternity photos at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana.
When I think about Alex and Kara’s outfit and photo location choices, the word that comes to mind is “classy.” Alex and Kara chose timeless photo locations on Purdue’s campus during their engagement photos, and when it came to choosing a photo location for their maternity photos, they quickly decided on Coxhall Gardens—which, in my opinion, is a very classy option.
Coxhall Gardens is beautiful all year long, but I have to say that this photo location worked particularly well for spring maternity photos. You see, with Kara’s May due date, we needed to take Alex and Kara’s maternity photos in early April.
While much of Indiana is still pretty brown and gray until late April or early May, Coxhall Gardens is often an exception. Between the well-maintained grounds and landscaping and the architecture throughout the gardens, you’d never know Indiana was still working on becoming more green!
While I know Alex has had about enough of being in front of the camera considering there have been so many reasons to have photos taken over the last few years, Alex and Kara were so much fun to hang out with—just like they were during their engagement photos—and graciously let me drag them all around the grounds.
While they certainly seem to enjoy the season of life they’re in, I have no doubt that they’re excited for their little girl to arrive and that this hardworking, fun-loving couple are going to be great parents.
