I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
Don’t get me wrong. As a wedding photographer, I look forward to every wedding I have the honor of photographing. However, for the last year, I have been particularly looking forward to Adam Rude and Maria Bachman’s KlubHaus 61 wedding in Jasper, Indiana.
You see, since meeting Adam and Maria in January of 2022, I have so loved getting to know this VRP bride and groom, watching them truly plan their wedding day together around what matters most to them, witnessing their flawless organization, and just spending time with them.
June 10, 2023 was a beautiful start to the beautiful, intentional life Adam and Maria will surely share, and I’m so excited to share their St. Joseph Catholic Church and KlubHaus 61 wedding in Jasper, Indiana on the blog!
Adam and Maria’s big day started with Maria and her ladies getting married at her parents’ house—the home where she grew up. Now, I should not have been surprised because Maria is a meticulous planner, but hair and makeup were a full hour and a half ahead of schedule when we arrived! (As a wedding photographer, I can tell you that that almost NEVER happens! So, special thanks to Cassidy Dueker, Chole Berger, and Merle Norman Cosmetics – Jasper for making this possible so that Maria and her ladies could truly enjoy the morning without feeling rushed!)
After Maria and her girls were ready and all bridal details had been photographed, Megan (my second shooter) and I followed the girls outside for a little champagne popping (nonalcoholic of course so as to not break any church rules). Maria showcased an excellent champagne pop, and it was then time for her to get into her wedding dress with the help of her mama and matrons of honor.
Now, just wait until you scroll and see these images of sweet getting ready moments. THIS is exactly why it’s important to set aside time for getting ready photos. Putting your wedding dress on is a magical moment!
After Maria was ready, we went outside so that she could share a first look with both her bridesmaids and her dad in the neighborhood where she grew up.
Then, Megan and I met up with Adam, his parents, and his groomsmen at St. Joseph Catholic Church for his getting ready photos. Just wait until you see photos of this very dapper groom!
Following Adam’s getting ready photos, Adam was finally able to see his bride. Adam and Maria shared a first look in front of the church. Then, it was time for Maria’s dad to walk her down the aisle.
Following a beautiful ceremony, family photos inside the church, and bridal party and bride and groom portraits outside of the church, it was time for the portion of the day that Adam and Maria had most looked forward to: their wedding reception at KlubHaus 61.
Now, Adam and Maria wanted two things from their reception: to get to spend quality time with their loved ones and to have a packed dance floor. And, I’m happy to report that they got both!
While appetizers and drinks had been served, Adam and Maria went from table to table to visit each and everyone of their guests. Then, after dinner and other traditions, nearly every seat in the house was empty, and guests were thrilled to be on the dance floor with Felix and Fingers—the incredible dueling piano company Adam and Maria hand selected.
At the end of photo coverage, we snuck Adam and Maria behind KlubHaus 61, where there is a gorgeous park, for a few sunset photos. Then, we said our goodbyes to this darling VRP bride and groom, and they and their loved ones continued to celebrate!
Now, I have to say that it is very ironic that Adam and Maria’s last name is “Rude,” because these two are quite the opposite of rude.
In fact, in speech after speech and in comment after comment all day long, I kept hearing Adam and Maria’s loved ones say things like, “Maria is so kind and inclusive. I’m glad she found someone who loves her as well as she loves others,” and, “Adam is always so considerate. I’m thankful he found someone as thoughtful as he is.”
And, as one of their wedding vendors, I can attest that Adam and Maria were so thoughtful of each and every one of their vendors—both before and on their big day. I mean this with love, but wedding days can be stressful for couples. As a result, it’s often easy for couples to treat their vendors less than kindly. However, this was most definitely not the case with Mr. and Mrs. Rude.
All day long, Adam and Maria encouraged us to take breaks, drink water, eat food, and take care of ourselves. And, I just think these actions are a true testament to how kind, thoughtful, and genuine Adam and Maria are.
For this reason and so many others, it was an honor to be their wedding photographer.
Adam and Maria, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. I have so loved getting to know the two of you over the last year and a half and am thankful to now call you both clients and friends.
I cannot wait to share your full gallery with you, but for now, I hope you love these previews from your KlubHaus 61 wedding in Jasper, Indiana!
