How do you celebrate being able to adopt your kiddos after a long, four-year wait? With family photos of their beautiful faces that you can FINALLY share online!
The Hall family is officially a family of six, and I’m so excited to share their adoption celebration photos in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Brooke & Josh didn’t plan to adopt, but God had other plans.
After having two kids, Brooke and Josh decided to become foster parents. They thought their home would have a revolving door for kids needing a temporary loving home. According to Annabelle (their oldest), “We were ready. They even built bunk beds.”
However, God had something else in mind for the Halls.
Ren (their youngest) was placed with Brooke and Josh as an infant. Wanting to keep siblings together, the state asked Josh and Brooke if they’d also take Ren’s brother, Harlem, a few months later. They said yes, and the Halls had two sweet babes in the house!
They weren’t sure how long Harlem and Ren would be with them, but two years later, they received a call and were asked, “Would you like to adopt the kids?”
It took another two years to finalize the adoption, but the Hall family is now officially a party of six!
To celebrate their adoption, their church gifted the Hall family a family photo shoot.
Adoption, especially through foster care, is no easy feat. And, the Halls’ church family at the Branch Wesleyan Church has been there to witness the whole adoption process.
When Josh and Brooke received the news that the adoption could finally be finalized, Shaina (a VRP client and a close friend of the Halls from church) reached out and asked if the church could purchase a family/an adoption celebration shoot for the Halls.
Adoption is something that is near and dear to my heart, so I was thrilled and honored to shoot this session for this incredible family at Fairfield Lakes Park!

Josh, Brooke, Annabelle, Josh, Harlem, and Ren, I know it’s been a long journey, but you’re now officially a family!
I just loved hanging out with you all. Josh and Brooke, you have four great kids, and that’s because you’re loving them and shepherding their hearts so well.
