Thinking back to Patrick and Lizzie Yoder’s wedding day is a little bit of a whirlwind. I mean, this sweet couple was only engaged for ELEVEN weeks before becoming husband and wife!
And, now, it’s hard to believe that it’s been more than a year since their gorgeous wedding at The Spohn Ballroom in Goshen, Indiana. But, it has, and I’m so excited to share Patrick and Lizzie Yoder’s anniversary photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
A Few Thoughts on Year One According to the Yoders
Thankfully, I get to see Patrick and Lizze pretty regularly, because they also attend City of God Church. But, I certainly loved catching up with them during their 30-minute anniversary shoot.
After their anniversary session, I sent Patrick and Lizzie a few questions about their first year as husband and wife, and here’s what they shared!
What have been the highlights of year one of marriage?
- Going to Kansas City to have a vacation and spend some time with friends
- Lizzie experiencing her first county fair
- Going to other friends’ weddings together married
What’s the best part about being married?
- Living life together
- Being able to support and encourage one another during the stresses of daily life
What’s something that’s been more difficult about being married than you expected?
- Balancing work, chores, and fun
What’s one piece of advice that you’d give to newlyweds?
- Two are better than one, work together as a team

Lizzie and Patrick, like I said, I can’t believe your wedding was a year ago! I so loved getting to know the two of you before your big day and am glad that attending City of God Church has allowed us to stay in touch regularly throughout your first year of marriage.
