2021 Family Fall Mini Sessions in Lafayette, Indiana
October 19, 2021I’ll never forget Luke and Grace Stevenson’s wedding at Meadow Springs Manor. The 2020 wedding season was a stressful one, but on Grace and Luke’s wedding day, the world felt all as it should.
It’s hard to believe that their wedding—which featured some truly amazing florals and was just a lot of fun—was more than a year ago! But, I loved getting to catch up with Luke and Grace, and I’m so excited to share their Fairfield Lakes Park anniversary photos on the blog!
A Few Thoughts on Year One According to the Stevensons
When I blog anniversary sessions, I always send couples a few questions about their first year of marriage. More often than not, I’d say the woman answers the questions or the couple simply answers the questions together.
However, Luke and Grace took the time to answer these questions individually, and I’m so excited to share their answers!
What have been the highlights of year one of marriage?
Grace: Waking up together on the weekends and having Luke make me breakfast.
Luke: A highlight for me is having someone to share the responsibility with always having someone I can count on.
What’s the best part about being married?
Grace: Always having someone to come home to and share your day with.
Luke: The best part about being married is always having a friend to do something with and to talk to.
What’s something that’s been more difficult about being married than you expected?
Grace: Compromising.
Luke: Something that’s been more difficult for me personally is not always being right.
What’s one piece of advice that you’d give to newlyweds?
Grace: Learn early in the marriage to not ruin a day fighting over small things that at the end of the day do not matter. Never stop trying to make the other happy.
Luke: Newlyweds need to learn the value of compromise and that quitting on each other is not an option.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Stevenson!
Luke and Grace, it was so good to see you guys and to get you in front of the camera again! You’ve been best friends for a long time, and while the world has been crazy during both your engagement and your first year of marriage, it’s clear that you enjoy doing life together.
Congratulations on one year of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson! I hope you love these photos from your Fairfield Lakes Park anniversary photos in Lafayette, Indiana, but I hope you always love sharing your lives even more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer.
