When we moved to Lafayette, Indiana almost six years ago, Ryan and BZ Farrell (who only had Sully at the time) were some of the first people we met and truly the first people who made Lafayette feel like home for us.
We met Ryan, BZ, and Sully through City of God Church when we joined the Farrells’ City Group (City of God’s version of small groups). (Side Note: We had a feeling COG was the right church for us when Ryan invited us over to watch Fight Club!)
Fast forward to 2022, Ryan and BZ have added two little girls to their family, and Zach and I are still so grateful to have Ryan, BZ, and their kiddos in our lives. (Another Side Note: BZ often helps package things for VRP couples. She brings the girls to my house when she does, and it’s my favorite thing!)

Ryan surprised BZ with a family photo shoot for Mother’s Day.
This is the third time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this darling family, and needless to say, when Ryan asked me if he could get BZ a gift certificate for family photos as a Mother’s Day gift, I was ecstatic!
Now, if Ryan’s Mother’s Day gift to BZ was family photos, Sully, Sloane, and Immy’s gift to their mama was being SO well behaved during their shoot! Seriously. The Farrell kids listened so well that we had all of our “necessary” shots in the first 15 minutes of their shoot!
Sully, Sloane, and Immy were simply thrilled to be exploring Fairfield Lakes Park, playing together, and spending time with their mom and dad. I hope and pray this shoot is a sweet memory for this sweet family.
Also, Ryan and BZ, I’m still waiting for you to write your parenting book! While all three of your kids have different personalities, they all have very kind hearts.
