Maya Rayburn: Class of 2020 Senior Photos in Downtown Lafayette, Indiana
May 6, 2020Over the last couple weeks, Indiana has been easing stay-at-home restrictions caused by the coronavirus. And, a few weeks ago, photographers were released to start shooting outdoor sessions again.
With this in mind, I contacted my clients and let them know that we could either keep their sessions as scheduled or postpone if they weren’t comfortable.
And, I have to say that I’m so thankful that Corey and Whitney decided to keep their engagement photos as scheduled, because getting these two in front of the camera certainly did my soul good! And now, I’m thrilled to share the future Mr. and Mrs. Thompson’s spring engagement photos at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Corey & Whitney’s first date story shows how much Whitney’s parents love their girl!
A couple years ago, both Corey and Whitney were hesitant about trying online dating. However, they both decided to give it a go and met on eHarmony.
Looking back, they agree that it’s funny that they were ever worried about online dating, because their date was the FIRST date either of them had scheduled with someone they met online, and now, they’re getting married!
After hitting it off on the web, Corey and Whitney made plans to grab pizza at Arni’s in Lafayette, Indiana.
But, when Whitney told her parents that she was going on a date with a guy she met on the Internet, her parents were concerned. To make sure Whitney was safe, Whitney’s parents also went to Arni’s and sat a few booths over.
At the time, Corey had no idea his date’s parents were on the premises!
The date went well, and Corey and Whitney decided to see one another again. Whitney eventually filled Corey in on her parents’ little secret, and now, these two have the sweetest first date story ever to share!
Corey popped the question at Disney!
In October 2019, Corey asked Whitney to go to Disney with him and his family, which includes Corey’s six-year-old son.
Whitney happily agreed, and the Thompson family spent a few wonderful days at the most magical place on Earth. The trip became even more magical when Corey asked Whitney to be his wife!
While riding the Disney Skyliner, Corey asked Whitney if she would spend forever with him, and she said yes!
How enchanting is that?!
Corey & Whitney opted for spring engagement photos at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette, Indiana.
With a fall wedding, Corey and Whitney decided they wanted to change up the seasons that will be represented in their photos and decided to do spring engagement photos.
Like I said, I’m so glad that they decided to keep their session as scheduled, because these two are such a joy to be around!
They both claim to be introverted, but around one another, they simply light up and smile big, making my job as their wedding photographer oh-so easy!
Stay tuned for Corey & Whitney’s 2020 wedding at Cornerstone Christian Church!
Wanting a laid back, intimate wedding, Corey and Whitney are planning a “low-key” celebration. With the exception of including Corey’s son, they’ve decided not to have a bridal party and simply want to be able to focus on one another and enjoy the day with their closest friends and family.
Their big day will feature a black and teal color palette, and these two will hold their ceremony and reception at Cornerstone Christian Church in Brownsburg, Indiana.
Corey and Whitney, I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve loved getting to know you both or how honored I am to be your wedding photographer.
I hope you love these previews of your spring engagement photos at the Celery Bog in West Lafayette, Indiana, and I cannot wait to witness the two of you become husband and wife this fall!
