When I met Andrew and Julie for coffee to learn more about them and their wedding plans, this sweet couple told me that they had three main priorities for their big day:
- To have a prayer-filled, focused ceremony
- To enjoy celebrating their marriage with family and friends
- To ensure guests felt welcomed and cared for
I don’t want to speak for Andrew and Julie, but I think it’s safe to say that their wedding included all of these things! It was an incredible day, and I’m so excited to share Mr. and Mrs. Mahoney’s wedding at Duncan Hall in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Andrew & Julie became husband & wife at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in downtown Lafayette.
It only takes seconds of knowing Andrew and Julie to see how important that their faith is to them. From their words to their actions, everything they do shows that Christ comes first in their lives. And, Christ was certainly the central focus on Julie and Andrew’s wedding day.
After doing a first look and taking family photos at Duncan Hall, Andrew and Julie became husband and wife at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in front of their family and closest friends.
Now, I can’t help but sharing that Andrew and Julie’s ceremony will forever be one of my favorites. You see, as a wedding photographer, I’ve witnessed a lot of wedding ceremonies. And, it’s often easy to tell when a priest, minister, pastor, officiant, etc. doesn’t know the couple very well because the ceremony tends to be a little generic.
This wasn’t the case in Andrew and Julie’s ceremony at all!
Through various volunteer opportunities, ministries, and mission trips, Andrew and Julie have gotten to know Father Patrick Baikauskas, their officiant, very well over the years and have formed a beautiful friendship.
During his message, Father Patrick was able to talk about Andrew and Julie personally and even encouraged the congregation to look to Andrew and Julie as examples in their own relationships with Christ and how they treat and care for others.
Andrew and Julie are such kind, Christ-focused people, and their wedding ceremony at Saint Boniface Catholic Church was a beautiful testament to the way they live their lives.
Andrew & Julie celebrated their wedding at Duncan Hall in Lafayette, Indiana.
After their ceremony, Andrew, Julie, and their guests traveled a few blocks down the street to enjoy Mr. and Mrs. Mahoney’s wedding reception at Duncan Hall—a historic wedding venue in downtown Lafayette, Indiana.
While there was certainly dinner and dancing, Andrew and Julie’s reception was made extra sentimental when their DJ (of Rat Pak Mobile DJ’s) invited guests to take the mic and share stories about the bride and groom during dinner.
I’ve never seen this done before, but it was such a sweet way to honor Andrew and Julie and made dinner lots of fun for guests!

Andrew and Julie, I can’t begin to tell you how honored I am that you trusted me to be your wedding photographer. Individually, you’re both as sweet as can be, and I have no doubt that God is going to use your marriage to influence countless people.
I pray that the life you share is full of blessings and that every trial brings you closer together and closer to Christ.

4H played a huge role in Julie’s life growing up. To commemorate this organization, Julie asked a couple 4Hers to make her and Andrew’s wedding cake. It was beautiful! 
I couldn’t help grabbing a photo with this wonderful bride and groom!
