I understand how much your wedding photos mean to you and how much work you’re putting into planning every last detail of your big day. As a VRP bride, you can relax and enjoy your wedding day knowing you’ve chosen a team of photographers who are just as detail-oriented as you are, will put thought into every shot, and will pay attention to all of the little details to ensure that you and your spouse love your wedding photos.
When COVID numbers weren’t looking good in December 2020, Scott and Molly Sacha decided (1) they didn’t want to wait any longer to become husband and wife and (2) they loved their friends and family too much to put them at risk.
As a result, Scott and Molly became Mr. and Mrs. with an intimate ceremony at Saint Mary’s Cathedral with just their parents and a few others present on December 19, 2020. (You can see their gorgeous winter wedding here!)
Eight months later, Scott and Molly were finally able to celebrate their marriage with friends and family, and I’m so excited to share their wedding reception at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Now, as a wedding photographer, I have to say that Scott and Molly’s reception was so wonderful that it was 100% worth the wait.
I mean, between their gorgeous venue choice, the fact that DJ Joe Sheets kept the dance floor packed, the beautiful florals from Julie’s Flowers, and the incredible job Wilson Events by Design did with the decor, the Sacha wedding reception was truly epic.
That said, what stood out about Scott and Molly’s wedding reception day most was how thankful and happy Scott, Molly, and their loved ones were to be together. In fact, during their reception, Scott said, “It’s just so good to see everyone together.”
Scott and Molly are two of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet, and while it was hard to see countless couples with 2020 weddings planned be affected by COVID, I know my heart broke a little extra for Scott and Molly when they decided to postpone their reception simply because they’re both so gosh darn sweet, and their marriage deserved to be celebrated.
Scott and Molly’s reception may’ve been delayed by eight months, but honestly, after having the pleasure of witnessing their celebration, I think it’s safe to say that the anticipation only made Scott and Molly’s wedding reception at New Journey Farms even more full of joy.
I mean, it was clear that Scott and Molly’s families were nothing but elated; their bridal party certainly showed up ready to celebrate their besties; and I don’t think I saw a single guest who wasn’t wearing a huge smile and didn’t hit the dance floor at some point.
While I’m sure everyone wishes that the celebration would’ve been in December 2020 as originally planned, I think Scott and Molly’s loved ones would agree that it was worth the wait to celebrate this couple and their marriage in the way that they deserved.
Scott and Molly, I wouldn’t wish a wedding postponement on anyone, but I do have to say, I am thankful that your postponement allowed me to get the two of you in front of the camera in your wedding attire TWICE!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. I’ve loved getting to spend time with both of you.
I hope you love these previews and enjoyed every second of your wedding reception at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana. However, I hope you’re loving doing life together even more. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Sacha!
Molly, you were the most gorgeous bride! I’m so glad I got to photograph you and your epic veil TWICE! Initially, Scott and Molly were planning on a winter wedding. I love how Julie’s Flowers used white flowers to make the florals a little more summery but still kept the berries and thistles. These were lovely! The girls did such a good job fluffing Molly (See the photos above!) that we decided Scott deserved the same attention from his guys!
I love that DJ Joe Sheetsgets out on the dance floor with guests. This man brings the energy at every wedding! Honestly, I love that Scott and Molly were able to have photos taken in their wedding attire both in the winter and in the summer. And, I love that Molly’s dress was somehow perfect for both seasons. You can see what her dress looked like in the winter here! THIS is why cathedral veils are the best! I just love Molly’s classic style!
