When I think about Frank and Lydia Leach’s wedding day, one world comes to mind: perfect.
2020 has been more than a little chaotic, but on Saturday, September 19, 2020, it felt like fall, friends and family were elated to gather, and an incredible couple became husband and wife.
Basically, Frank and Lydia’s celebration was amazing, and I’m so excited to share their wedding at the Wagner Angus Barn in Wolcott, Indiana on the blog!
Between Lydia finishing grad school and passing her boards (She’s officially a doctor!), planning their wedding, the coronavirus, and countless other things, 2020 has been a big, busy year for Frank and Lydia.
With so much going on, I’m sure it felt like it took forever for their wedding to arrive, and it would’ve been easy to let stress or nerves get the best of them. But, on their wedding day, Frank and Lydia were clearly so elated to become husband and wife and to be with their friends and families that they were nothing but relaxed and full of joy.
Their day was perfectly organized and orchestrated, but because Frank and Lydia were focused on what matters most (one another and loving those around them), they didn’t sweat a thing and were able to thoroughly enjoy their celebration.
Frank and Lydia, other brides and grooms definitely need to take notes from you!
I know fall technically starts on September 22, but Frank and Lydia’s September 19 wedding certainly felt like the kick-off to fall 2020!
It was a gorgeous, 65-degree day, and Frank and Lydia started their big day by getting ready at Lydia’s Aunt Cindy’s house just a few miles from their wedding venue.
The girls sipped mimosas outside, and the guys enjoyed a few beers outside while Megan (my second shooter), TJ of Firkins Films, and I shot details inside.
After taking getting-ready photos of the couple separately and after Lydia shared a first look with her bridesmaids and dad, Frank and Lydia headed to the Wagner Angus Barn for their first look. And, man, did Frank beam when he saw his bride! Just wait until you see the photos!
Because they opted to do a first look, Frank and Lydia were then able to take all bridal party and family photos before their ceremony. This way, after their ceremony, all they had to focus on was grabbing a few more photos of just the two of them and partying!
Frank and Lydia became husband and wife on the lawn in front of the Wagner Angus Barn and then danced the night away—with a short break for sunset photos—while DJ Troy of DJ Sound Solution (one of my very favorite wedding DJs) made sure the dance floor was packed all night long.
Like I said before, it was an incredible day!
Frank and Lydia, your wedding day was epic. But, considering how hard you both work and how well you love one another and others, I have no doubt that your marriage is going to be even more incredible.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. It was such an honor, and it’s been so much fun getting to know you both over the last year.
Congratulations, Mr. and Dr. Leach! I hope you love these previews from your perfect wedding at the Wagner Angus Barn in Wolcott, Indiana!
