A gorgeous, historic wedding venue? A bride who wanted to keep her wedding as timeless as possible? Truly gorgeous florals? A bride and groom who are as passionate about supporting local businesses as I am? And, a sweet couple with the world’s most helpful kids?
I could gush about Cody, Cheyenne, their family, and their wedding day forever. But, I’m sure you just want to get to their photos, so I’ll try to keep this brief. I’m so excited to share Mr. and Mrs. Hutsell’s Fowler House Mansion wedding in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
Now, I love all VRP brides, but I have to say that since booking me as their wedding photographer about a year ago, Cheyenne is a bride who has become a friend. And, this friendship is largely due to the fact that we’re both passionate about supporting small, local businesses. (Cody is too. But, Cheyenne and I share a special bond!)
As a result, when Cheyenne and Cody started planning their wedding, Cheyenne saw their celebration as an opportunity to support local businesses that she and Cody already love.
If you scroll to the bottom of this post, you’ll find a list of all of the wedding vendors Cody and Cheyenne used. They’re all small businesses, and nearly all of them are located in Lafayette, Indiana!
Cody and Cheyenne, as a small business owner myself, I want to say thank you. Thank you for choosing to shop small and for using your wedding to love on local businesses. You’re such gems of human beings!
While the small business element of Cheyenne and Cody’s wedding was certainly special, I think Cheyenne and Cody’s loved ones would agree that the most special part of Cheyenne and Cody’s day was witnessing a family become complete.
If you aren’t familiar with Cheyenne and Cody’s incredible love story, you’re definitely going to want to check out their engagement photos and read a summary of their story here. (Hint: They were roommates before they fell in love.) But, while they’ve been doing life as a family for a few years now, Cheyenne and Cody officially became husband and wife, and Cody officially became Remi and Colton’s stepdad at the altar.
It only takes moments of being with Cody, Cheyenne, and their kids to see that while Cody may be Colton and Remi’s stepdad, he loves these kiddos as his own. And, at the altar, Cody not only promised to spend his life with Cheyenne but also to love Colton and Remi as his own son and daughter.
Cody and Cheyenne have a beautiful story and they love one another and those around them so well. All three of their kids are so blessed to have Cheyenne, Cody, and their love as examples.
Cody and Cheyenne, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer! I’ve so loved getting to know the two of you and your three amazing kids.
Your wedding day was so lovely, so much fun, and honestly one of my favorite weddings ever. But, there’s no doubt in my mind that your marriage will be even more beautiful.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hutsell! I hope you love these previews from your Fowler House Mansion wedding!
I’m just in love with this timeless invitation suite created by East to West Studio! Rubia Flower Market always does an incredible job, but Sarah and her team really outdid themselves this time. Cheyenne wasn’t sure exactly what she wanted, so she trusted Sarah to run with things. And, all of the florals looked incredible! Wanting to keep their day about their family, Cody and Cheyenne decided to forgo a bridal party and just include their kiddos. Remi helped her mama get ready, and I don’t know about you, but these special moments just melt my heart! Before Cody and Cheyenne’s first look, Remi did a first look with the amazing man she’s called “Dad” for a while now. I love that they decided to do this! It rained for much of Cheyenne and Cody’s wedding day, but the Fowler House Mansion is an incredible venue for rainy wedding days. The gorgeous porch allowed us to be able to still take their portraits in natural light. I love this venue for so many reasons, but this porch is certainly a plus! Cody and Cheyenne were so happy to finally be married that they weren’t phased by the rain at all! They moved their ceremony inside and didn’t hesitate when I asked if they’d be okay to do their just married photos in the rain with umbrellas. I just adore this couple so much!
