Between mutual friends knowing that Philip Spagnolo and Tori Welsh were destined to be together and the intentionality that Phil and Tori put into their relationship, May 20, 2023 was a long time coming. And, now, I’m so excited to share photos from Mr. and Mrs. Spagnolo’s Jasper County Fairgrounds wedding in Rensselaer, Indiana on the blog!
Phil & Tori wanted to keep their Jasper County Fairgrounds wedding focused on what matters most to them: their faith, their loved ones, & one another.
When I asked Tori what her and Phil’s wedding priorities were, she didn’t skip a beat explaining that incorporating their Catholic faith by getting married at St. Augustine Catholic Church, getting to spend time both together and with their loved ones, and having wedding photos that would help them remember their big day forever were their biggest wedding priorities. And, I don’t want to speak for Phil and Tori, but I think it’s safe to say that their wedding priorities were kept at the forefront on their big day!
Phil and Tori’s wedding day started with the girls getting ready at St. Augustine Catholic Church, which has the perfect bridal suite for hair and makeup. (By the way, I cannot recommend Hair by Kelly Taylor enough!) In the meantime, Phil and his fellas got ready in the church basement.
Tori and Phil are such calm, easy-going people, and this could certainly be felt on the morning of their big day. They were nothing but confident and excited to finally walk down the aisle.
Following their beautiful ceremony at St. Augustine Catholic Church and grand exit, we took family photos inside the church and then popped outside for bridal party photos. Including Phil and Tori, this bridal party included 26 people total. This is one of the biggest bridal parties we’ve ever photographed, and they were so much fun!
Following bridal party photos, we relocated to Potawatomi Park—which is also located in downtown Rensselaer—and had the perfect glowy light for bride and groom photos. Tori and Phil, I hope you love your portraits as much as Shelby (my second shooter) and I enjoyed having the two of you in front of the camera!
Then, we followed this oh-so-sweet VRP bride and groom to their Jasper County Fairgrounds wedding reception, where every inch of the venue was full and ready to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Spagnolo! (Side note: With so many loved ones, the fairgrounds was the only place big enough to host Tori and Phil’s reception, but with Wilson Events by Designs’ incredible work, you’d never know Phil and Tori’s reception was in a pole barn!)
Toward the end of Phil and Tori’s photo coverage and when the dance floor was packed, we snuck them outside for a few sunset photos. In all, it was the perfect day for the sweetest couple who deserved nothing less.
All couples can learn from Phil & Tori’s intentionality.
Philip and Tori may be newlyweds, but all couples—regardless of how long they’ve been together—can look to Phil and Tori Spagnolo as an example of what intentionality should look like in a relationship.
On their wedding day, in speech after speech and in conversation after conversation, Phil and Tori’s loved ones repeatedly spoke about how this bride and groom have been nothing short of purposeful since their relationship began. From having a direct and honest conversation about what they wanted out of life when they first started dating to the two of them choosing to adopt one another’s hobbies to help them spend regular quality time together, Phil and Tori are deliberately building a life they love.
And, I can’t help mentioning this, because as beautiful as their Jasper County Fairgrounds wedding was, there’s no doubt in my mind that the life they share will be even more beautiful.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Spagnolo!
Phil and Tori, you are two of the kindest souls, and you deserved nothing less than a perfect wedding day. And, I think it’s safe to say that that is exactly what you had! I hope the two of you loved every minute!

I still can’t get over Tori’s dress! It fit her perfectly and was a beautiful combination of classic and edgy. If you’re looking for a wedding dress that’s different than you’ll find in most Indiana bridal stores, I highly recommend checking out Sage Bridal House in Rensselaer, Indiana like Tori did!
