Guys, I’m so excited to share Wyatt and Kaelyn’s summer wedding at Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn in Delphi, Indiana on the blog!
This darling couple had their hearts set on a classic, rustic wedding with lots of flowers. And, that’s exactly what they had!
Now, before you see Wyatt and Kaelyn’s beautiful wedding, I can’t help sharing their story with you.
First of all, I have a very special place in my heart for this couple. Zach and I got married young, and Wyatt and Kaelyn became husband and wife when they were just 18 and 19 years old!
These two started dating their freshman year of high school. They went to a dance together, and although they were both shy and didn’t speak much at the dance, they started seeing more and more of each other.
Kaelyn starting hanging out with Wyatt on this family’s farm, and to Wyatt’s surprise, Kaelyn (who wasn’t a farm girl) was more than happy to help with chores, especially with the animals. Realizing that Kaelyn wasn’t like most other girls, Wyatt realized he’d found “the one” at a very young age.
Wyatt and Kaelyn dated all through high school, and at the beginning of their senior year, they felt called to get married.
This darling couple explained this to their parents, and with their parents’ support, Wyatt and Kaelyn figured out how to graduate from high school a semester early, decided to attend Black Hawk College together where they’ll both study agriculture, leased an apartment near their school for the fall, and bought a fixer upper near Wyatt’s family’s farm to renovate and live in after they graduate.
Long-term, Wyatt and Kaelyn plan to work on and run the Willson family’s farm together. How incredible is that?!
Wyatt and Kaelyn, you are proof that age is just a number and that keeping Christ at the center of your relationship is key.
When I arrived at Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn, I took a quick lap around the property to make a game plan before going to check in with Kaelyn.
Now, when we met for the first time, Kaelyn and her mom, Kim, told me that they planned to do all of the decorating. When I walked into the barn, I was blown away! I thought to myself, “They must’ve hired a coordinator, because this looks amazing!”
But, this wasn’t the case! Kaelyn, Kim, Patty (Wyatt’s mom), and a few other friends and family members worked together to create the most amazing decor! I still can’t get over it, and I can’t wait for you to see the photos!
While the decor and the grounds at Vintage Oaks were certainly stunning, these things don’t compare to the love, support, and joy that filled Wyatt and Kaelyn’s big day.
I mean, Wyatt’s uncle officiated their ceremony; their bridal party went with the flow despite the heat (It felt like 111 degrees on Wyatt and Kaelyn’s wedding day!); family and friends arrived early to help with chairs and other last-minute things, and their parents did countless things to make their kids’ day magical.
Between the love and respect they have for one another and a community of people who support them, I have no doubt that Wyatt and Kaelyn’s marriage will be one for the books!
Wyatt and Kaelyn, I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am for the two of you or how honored I am that you trusted me to be your wedding photographer.
Your big day was amazing, and I have no doubt that your marriage is going to be even more incredible.
It’s crazy to think about, but getting married young means that you get to spend decades together. Someday, you might even celebrate your 75th anniversary! What a blessing!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Willson! I hope you love these previews from your summer wedding at Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn in Delphi, Indiana!
Kim, Kaelyn’s mom, had this ring box made for Wyatt and Kaelyn. Isn’t it darling?!
In case you’re wondering what’s on Wyatt’s jacket, his dad, Don, sprayed him with a squirt gun during the ceremony! It was hot, so Wyatt didn’t complain about being a little wet!
Sometimes, I can’t help sharing the back of the camera, especially with this darling couple!
I still can’t get over this decor. Kaelyn, Kim (Kaelyn’s mom), and Patty (Wyatt’s mom), did an incredible job!
Kaelyn really wanted photos taken with Beatrice, Vintage Oaks’ cow. Beatrice was more interested in snacking on Kaelyn’s bouquet than having her photo taken, but she’s such a beauty!
Not pictured: Haley, the owner of Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn, waiving Kaelyn’s bouquet behind my head to get Beatrice to look at the camera. LOL! Haley does an amazing job of serving her brides and grooms!
I couldn’t help grabbing a photo with the bride and groom. Wyatt and Kaelyn, thank you so much for trusting me to be your wedding photographer! Want to see more of Wyatt and Kaelyn? Check out their engagement photos at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana!
