I think it’s safe to say that Cameron and Cayla bring the party wherever they go. I mean, Cameron popped the question when he and Cayla threw a 90’s party if that helps you better understand how much fun this sweet couple is!
As a result, Cameron and Cayla’s friends, family, and even wedding vendors had pretty high expectations for the Spitznagle wedding. Between a perfectly on time day (Cayla’s a very impressive planner!), a packed dance floor, lots of bling, lovely details, and shots of Fireball as party favors, Cameron and Cayla’s celebration couldn’t have been any more true to who they are. And, their wedding day was the perfect way to kick off their marriage.
With all of this in mind, I’m so excited to share Mr. and Mrs. Spitznagle’s dusty-blue, succulent-filled wedding at The Brandywine in Monticello, Indiana on the blog!
Cameron & Cayla became husband & wife with a thoughtfully planned wedding at The Brandywine in Monticello, Indiana.
Now, I get excited for all VRP couples’ weddings, but I’ve been particularly excited about Cameron and Cayla’s because (1) I knew it was going to be a really good time and (2) Cayla is a planner. (Cayla and I are very similar. It’s kind of scary!)
Very rarely does a wedding day go perfectly according to schedule, but Cameron and Cayla’s did because Cayla was so on top of every detail before the big day. You see, while some people are planners and forget to enjoy life and others fail to plan but soak life up, Cayla makes plans so she can thoroughly enjoy moments. And, that’s exactly what she did for her wedding day. (Don’t get me wrong. Cameron helped, but with this work schedule, they agree that Cayla did most of the planning!)
For example, Cayla knew that it would be difficult to get all of the groomsmen to arrive at The Brandywine on time. So, she decided to hire Loaded Transportation (one of my very favorite transportation companies by the way) pick the boys up, take them to lunch, and get them to the venue on time. This way, the guys could have a great time, and Cayla could enjoy the morning of her wedding hanging with her girls without stressing about the fellas.
Cameron and Cayla’s commitment to planning ahead allowed them to have a wedding day with countless gorgeous touches and—more importantly—have a celebration that was focused on what matters most: their love and their loved ones.
Side Note: Speaking of details, just wait until you see all the lovely things from Cameron and Cayla’s big day. I’ll be thinking about their succulent and peony bouquets for a long time!

Just look at those succulents! The florals by Lafayette Flower Shoppe & Gifts, LLC were stunning and brought Cayla’s vision to life!
Cayla has the best hair! I mean, the color, the volume. Her hair always looks great, but this is the definition of perfect bridal hair! Hair was done by Country Hair II and Mallory’s Beautiful You Salon and Spa.
The Brandywine is a lovely wedding venue, but there aren’t many shaded spots outside the venue. So, with the help of Loaded Transportation, we went to Altherr Nature Park for bridal party photos, which was lovely!
The heat index was 100+ degrees on Cameron and Cayla’s wedding day, but their bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and ring bearer were such troopers. Cameron and Cayla are so good to the people in their lives, and I’m sure every person at the park for photos was thinking about this while being rather toasty for photos!
I had to get a photo with the newlyweds. I adore them so much!
I saw Nick on the dance floor and knew that he’d been a groomsman in a wedding that I’d photographed, and while I was thinking about it, he came over and said hi! Nick was in JR and Elizabeth’s wedding last year and happens to be related to the Spitznagles. What a small world!
It’s always a good time with DJ Sunn of Rat Pak Mobile DJs!
