From the perfect decor that looked like Joanna Gaines herself designed to the way LauraJane beamed when she and Chad walked back up the aisle after saying their vows, I have to say that the Mussche wedding was 100% worth the wait!
And, today, I’m so excited to share Chad and LauraJane’s wedding at The Blessing Barn in Lafayette, Indiana on the blog!
The coronavirus didn’t take away any of Chad and LauraJane’s joy.
While this darling couple was supposed to celebrate their wedding in May, the coronavirus altered their plans.
Not wanting to wait any longer to become husband and wife and wanting to be able to quarantine together, Chad and LauraJane decided to get married in May (In their car actually!) and then celebrate their wedding with their friends and family on Friday, July 10, 2020.
According to LauraJane, “I think everyone should get married before having a wedding. It takes the stress out of everything!”
And, honestly, it really seemed to! Chad and LauraJane were calm, cool, and collected all day long and clearly got to thoroughly enjoy their time with their friends and family. If you’re currently engaged, maybe take note!
Chad & LauraJane celebrated their wedding at The Blessing Barn in Lafayette, Indiana.
When LauraJane and I met for coffee to discuss her and Chad’s big day last year, she told me that she was very excited about their venue and that the grounds were beautiful. But, she wanted to be sure that their wedding didn’t look like a “country, barn” wedding.
And, I have to say, Chad and LauraJane’s wedding most certainly did not look like a country wedding! In fact, if you ask me, their wedding at The Blessing Barn in Lafayette, Indiana looked like it was straight out of an issue of Joanna Gaines’s Magnolia Journal!
I mean, from the epic flowers (Just wait until you see LJ’s bouquet!) and the wood and chalkboard details to the simple but elegant centerpieces and amazing color palette (This is actually my favorite wedding color palette!), wedding days don’t get any more lovely than this!
Now, not only was Chad and LauraJane’s wedding day beautiful, it was also full of joy. Chad and LauraJane are so good to the people in their lives, and their friends and family were clearly thrilled to celebrate the happy couple. (When rain was in the forecast, LauraJane’s brothers in law set up a tent last minute for their ceremony. When the weather cleared, they moved the arbor and chairs and made a new ceremony space. That’s love!)

Chad and LauraJane, I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am for you or how honored I was to be your wedding photographer.
I so admire that you didn’t let a global pandemic prevent you from getting married, and throughout this whole process, you’ve kept what matters most at the forefront of your minds: Christ and one another.
