Mr. & Mrs. Saylor: A Fall Wedding at Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn in Delphi, Indiana

Erinn & Griffey’s wedding day was a celebration of both Erinn & Griffey’s marriage & of their family of three.

Now, before you check out Erinn and Griffey’s wedding photos, I can’t help sharing how incredible this bride and groom are and a little bit about how their family came to be.

You see, Erinn and Griffey met at work the summer before Erinn’s senior year of high school and Griffey’s freshman year of college. At the time, they were both in relationships but had noticed one another.

The following summer, Griffey came home, and he and Erinn began working together again. This time, they were both single, but Erinn was expecting a baby boy.

Erinn and Griffey became friends at work, and Griffey asked Erinn if she wanted to see a movie. From that night forward, Erinn and Griffey were a couple, and Griffey was so in love with Erinn that when Brantley was born just months later, Griffey looked at Brantley as if he were his own son.

Erinn and Griffey dated for a couple years. Then, knowing that they wanted to get married and so that Griffey could more easily formally adopt Brantley, Erinn and Griffey had a courthouse wedding in December 2019 with plans to celebrate big later.

There were countless sweet moments and lovely details on Erinn and Griffey’s wedding day, but I think guests would agree that what stood out most was how Erinn and Griffey’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their marriage; it was also a celebration of their family.

I mean, Brantley—who is so sweet, fun, and well behaved by the way—was part of every big moment. For example, he did a first look with his mama; he held his parents’ hands at the altar; he beamed during Mom and Dad’s kiss; and he NEVER left the dance floor!

Side Note: Brantley really is an awesome kid. He’s outgoing and kind, and after seeing Griffey and Erinn with him, it’s clear that Brantley is so great because Erinn and Griffey are wonderful parents. They patiently take the time to explain the “why” behind situations, and their son is so thoughtful because of this.

Erinn and Griffey, you’re incredible parents and should be so proud of the little man you’re raising. Your Vintage Oaks Banquet Barn wedding was a beautiful celebration of your family!

Erinn and Griffey, you’ve been husband and wife and a family of three for a while now, but your love certainly deserved to be celebrated, and I—for one—am so glad you were finally able to do so! It was truly an honor to be your wedding photographer.
