In all honesty, many aspects of 2022 were hard. We moved; I lost my dad; our new home has required WAY more updating than we’d initially thought; being diagnosed as “pre diabetic” resulted in some big health changes; I got COVID during the busy fall photo season; and several other things happened in my personal life that I don’t feel comfortable sharing online—at least for now.
However, I do want to share one of the brightest parts of my year with you: 2022 VRP brides and grooms!
Since starting Victoria Rayburn Photography in 2016, I’ve been blessed with the best clients. But, 2022 couples were truly amazing.
You see, each and every one of the couples I had the pleasure of photographing this year was incredibly kind, passionate about their wedding photos, excited to celebrate their first day of marriage in big ways, and HIGHLY organized. (Much of this organization was a result of some very talented wedding planners! Basically, 2022 was one of the most difficult years of my life for many reasons. But, even on the days my heart was most broken, I was blessed to have a career that I’m passionate about. And, that passion is a result of the wonderful people I get to serve.
2022 VRP brides and grooms, thank you for being so wonderful and kind. Thank you to those of you who were nothing but understanding when I let second shooters capture your first look with your dad, because I just couldn’t do it. Thank you to those of you who have sent encouraging messages, mailed thank you cards, tagged me on social media, referred me to your friends and family, and taken the time to leave reviews on Google and The Knot. I have my dream job because of you, and that’s never lost on me.

In January 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking at The New Adventure Workshop on Hawaii’s Big Island. There were several amazing styled shoots, but this South Point Hawaii elopement was by far my favorite, so I can’t help sharing it with you!
